DP World Tour unveils global 2027 schedule

The DP World Tour will take its global reach to another level in 2027, with three historic tournaments returning to the schedule and a calendar spanning 42 events across 24 countries.

The Hong Kong Open and Deutsche Bank Singapore Open will return as co sanctioned events with the Asian Tour, while the Open de Portugal|Cascais Lisboa will make its comeback to the European Swing.

The Deutsche Bank Singapore Open will be played at Sentosa Golf Club from 15 to 18 April, while the Open de Portugal|Cascais Lisboa returns from 13 to 16 May at Oitavos Dunes Links Golf in Cascais.

The Hong Kong Open, one of Asia’s oldest tournaments, returns to the DP World Tour for the first time since 2019. Established in 1959, the event has been co sanctioned with the Tour and Asian Tour 18 times and will return to Hong Kong Golf Club from 21 to 24 October.

The Singapore Open dates back to 1961 and previously featured as a DP World Tour co sanctioned event between 2009 and 2012. Its return is part of a new three way partnership involving the DP World Tour, Asian Tour and PGA Tour.

Portugal’s national Open also has a long history, having been established in 1953 and appearing 38 times on the DP World Tour schedule since the Tour’s formation in 1972.

The 2027 calendar has also been reshaped by the Ryder Cup, which will be played at Adare Manor in Ireland from 17 to 19 September.

The Amgen Irish Open will move to 1 to 4 July at The K Club, while the FedEx Open de France will take place at Le Golf National from 9 to 12 September, just a week before the Ryder Cup.

The BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club will follow immediately afterwards, running from 23 to 26 September.

The season’s Rolex Series will begin with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic from 21 to 24 January, followed by the Genesis Scottish Open from 8 to 11 July. The Race to Dubai will then conclude with the Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship in November.

Team golf will also feature early in the year, with the Team Cup scheduled for 15 to 17 January.

DP World Tour chief executive Guy Kinnings said the return of the historic national Opens reinforced the Tour’s international identity.

“As Golf’s Global Tour, we are proud to provide this unique platform for our members to showcase their talents,” Kinnings said.

The 2027 schedule will offer players another season of international competition while giving fans a calendar that moves across some of golf’s most established markets and venues.
